I rise today to share some good news about post-secondary graduates throughout the province. The recently completed Saskatchewan Graduate Outcomes Survey illustrates that post-secondary education continues to lead to positive outcomes for students. Not only do a majority of students see significant benefits from their programs, they are also staying right here in this province. More than 90% of respondents say that they are satisfied with the quality of their educational experience. The survey also indicated that 85% of 2014 graduates are employed, with two thirds working in jobs related to their program of study. And their salaries have increased faster than the rate of inflation. I am proud of our government’s record when it comes to post-secondary education and doing right by our ...

Insinger is located on Hwy #16 North West of Yorkton SK. much of this info was obtained from the web http://www.ghosttownpix.com/sask/towns/insinger.html Scores of rural towns, like Insinger have either become ghost towns or are close to extinction; victims of rural depopulation, rail line and grain elevator closures, rock-bottom crop prices, rising transportation costs, and farm consolidation. Government officials say from 1985 to 2000, more than 30 towns and villages throughout Saskatchewan have been deserted The exact definition of a ghost town varies between individuals, and between cultures. Some writers discount settlements that were abandoned as a result of a natural or human-made disaster, using the term only to describe settlements which were deserted because they were no lo...

Welcome to Saskatchewan! Often known as an incredibly flat province, nothing could be further from the truth. With lush boreal forests and pristine lakes in the North to prairie landscapes and badlands in the South, Saskatchewan is the perfect place for outdoor lovers to explore. We drove a pontoon boat around Lake Waskesiu, learned about the province's first nations at Wanuskewin Heritage Centre, and went for a float in Canada's version of the dead sea. We also toured the RCMP Heritage Centre, witnessed the RCMP sunset ceremony, climbed a massive sand dune, and hiked through one of the few remaining natural grasslands in North America. We packed a lot of adventures into our short visit and can't wait to return one day and explore the province further. We explored Saskatchewan from July...

Travel video about destination Kernave in Lithuania. Around forty kilometres northwest of Vilnius lies the archaeological site of Kernavė, Lithuania’s ‘Troy’. During the first centuries A.C., large settlements were established in the Pajauta Valley which were protected by the Castle Mountains. Evidence of a burial culture was found such as the tomb of a horse that was discovered in 1998. Artefacts from the Iron Age, such as axes and spear heads, have been uncovered and bones from different time periods. In 1390, the Crusaders burned down the city yet Kernavė has been a World Heritage Site since 2004. Close to the Archaeological Museum and in front of the Catholic "To The Holy Virgin Mary Church", is the reconstruction of an older church. The wooden Saint Nicholas Church was destroyed b...
